Injured Trainer Update - Evan Holland (Newcastle, Thurs)

Racehorse trainer Evan Holland has been injured following an incident after the running of Race 1 at Newcastle on Thursday (23rd April). Evan was attempting to put a lead on his horse in the mounting area following the race but was seen on the ground moments afterward and it is unknown at this stage what happened.

Evan appears to have broken his left arm and has been transported by ambulance to John Hunter Hospital.

[Update at 4:30pm on Thursday 23rd April]: Racing NSW's Dr Duckworth reports that Evan has a fractured midshaft humerus and is having surgery at John Hunter Hospital this evening.
