Excitement Building For Hawkesbury Cup Day (Saturday)

Excitement is building for Hawkesbury Cup Raceday now that fields have been released for the 18th running of Hawkesbury’s iconic Stand-alone meeting on Saturday 22 April.

The Group 3 $200,000 Richmond Club Hawkesbury Gold Cup highlights a massive 10-race card with $1.6 million prizemoney to be distributed.

Hawkesbury Race Club's Chief Executive Officer, James Heddo said: “Saturday is without doubt one of the best renewals ever of Hawkesbury’s Stand-alone raceday, as this year marks 18 years since its inception."

The Group 3 $200,000 Richmond Club Hawkesbury Gold Cup has attracted a capacity field including last year’s runner-up Hopeful who will be just that of going one better in 2023.

International Group 1 placegetter Princess Grace will wear the number 1 saddle cloth in the Group 3 $200,000 Pioneer Services Hawkesbury Crown at her second Australian start following a Group 2 placing on Day 2 of The Championships.

Last start Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes winner The Fortune Teller heads the field in the Group 3 $200,000 Blacktown Workers Club Group Hawkesbury Guineas.

“Hawkesbury Cup Day is always a special and memorable event to share with family and friends and I am looking forward to a fantastic day.”
