Veterinary Inspections - Etah James And Just Thinkin'

Etah James – Racing NSW Stewards have received advice that Etah James (an acceptor in The Heineken Metropolitan) underwent surgery for the removal of a sarcoid adjacent to its right eye since its last start. In addition to this surgery, the mare has healing granulation tissue associated with post-operative topical therapy to the left side of its face. A veterinary clearance has been received and Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr Toby Koenig will inspect Etah James later this week to ascertain the mare’s suitability to race.

Just Thinkin’ – Following the gelding being scratched from the Shannon Stakes last Saturday when showing signs of colic requiring treatment, co-trainer Adrian Bott has advised the gelding responded well to treatment and should it gain a start in Saturday’s TAB Epsom, the horse will take its place in the field. Just Thinkin’ will be examined by Racing NSW Chief Veterinary Officer, Dr Toby Koenig later this week.
