Trainer Provides Stewards An Update On Bandi’s Boy & Kreon

Trainer Danny Williams has provided Racing NSW Stewards with an update on Bandi’s Boy and Kreon, both of which were withdrawn from their respective engagements at the Royal Randwick meeting last Saturday acting on veterinary advice.

Bandi’s Boy and Kreon have both been selected to run in The Kosciuszko at Royal Randwick on Saturday, 19 October 2024.

Mr Williams advised that Bandi’s Boy had been treated for an abscess to the off fore foot. He further advised that Bandi’s Boy had responded quickly to this treatment and the intention is for the horse to have its final preparatory race at the Royal Randwick meeting on 5 October 2024.

Mr Williams reported that Kreon was found to have an elevated temperature for which it was treated. He advised Kreon had recovered well and had not missed any subsequent work.

Mr Williams further advised that Kreon holds a nomination for Rosehill Gardens on Saturday but that a decision will be made later in the week as to whether it participates in this race or one of several other suitable options that are available for the horse’s final start before The Kosciuszko.
