A classy mare bounced back to her best with Spright producing a strong finish to claim a valuable Group 3 win.
Find out what the jockeys made of their horses’ runs in the E-Group Security Star Kingdom Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Jay Ford (Spright): “She’s a really good mare when she is right. Last prep was a bit of a right off, she never came up, but her trials have been good leading into today and it’s good to see the old Spright letting loose like she can.
“She’s fresh. The more she gets into the prep the better she will relax. She enjoyed a nice tempo and once she saw daylight she let down strongly.”

Tye Angland (Dothraki): “He was good. Got to outside the leader pretty comfortably, just got a little bit tired late.”
Tim Clark (Bolero King): “He probably ran a career PB.”
Corey Brown (Nieta): “The speed was just way too slow.”
Kerrin McEvoy (Fell Swoop): “Wide run took its toll on the horse.”
Brenton Avdulla (Kaepernick): “A bit disappointing. I thought he was entitled to finish right there.”
Josh Parr (Burning Passion): “They went too slow for him to be a chance.”
Andrew Adkins (Oxford Poet): “Tempo looked like it was going to be nice then sort of eased up in his face. Asking him to sprint off a steadying tempo was a bit hard for him but he still ran okay considering.”
Jess Taylor (Isorich): “Disappointing. Got a nice time in front but didn’t let down.
James Innes Jnr (Inz'n'out): “He got further back than anticipated but he travelled up like he was he going to run top four and only did what he had to.”
Michael Walker (New Universe): “Went good, just screaming out for 1400m.”
