Jockey Quotes - Sheraco Stakes

It was another tight finish in the feature mares race of the day, find out what the jockeys made of their mounts in the Group 2 Sheraco Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens.

Hugh Bowman (Invincibella): “There was plenty of pressure up front and I was comfortable throughout. I didn’t want to come out to where I went but I had no other option and she did a good job. Very proud of her.

“She’s been such a consistent mare and I think she wouldn’t be out of place in a Group 1 mares’ race during the carnival.”

Andrew Adkins (Daysee Doom): “Never had a lot of luck. Did a few dips and dives out of the gates and I sat her back a bit. I probably didn’t make the best option but she still ran alright.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Formality): “Just struggled in the ground.”

Jason Collett (Egyptian Symbol): “Had a good run but just failed to give me enough at the finish.”

James McDonald (Champagne Cuddles): “Combination of things - ridden probably a little bit too positively and the ground.”

Brett Prebble (Zestful): “Lost her confidence at the 600m in the ground and never recovered it.”

Corey Brown (Eckstein): “Disappointing.”

Tommy Berry (Noire): “Lovely run. She’s very honest, loved the track too.”

Rachel King (Memes): “Really good run, really appreciated that track today.”

Christian Reith (Perizada): “Super return. Just needed the run with the heavy track but look for her to improve next run.”

Jay Ford (Magic Alibi): “Honest as always, ran a credible race.”
