Jockey Quotes - San Domenico Stakes

Anders was a dominant winner of the $160,000 Group Three TAB San Domenico Stakes (1100m) at Rosehill, beating Peltzer and Mamaragan.

James McDonald (Anders): "He’s a very quick horse. I thought he would be positive today. He’s a fast horse anyway. I wanted them stretched on this quick ground. He’s a fit horse now. He was never going to stop. Just letting him use himself. He was so happy out there.”

Anders was too fast in the San Domenico

Glen Boss (Mamaragan): “Outstanding. He is a really good colt. It wasn’t a sit and sprint and he got taken out of his comfort zone before home. If you have a look at his splits you will be pretty impressed. He was pretty quick.”

Brenton Avdulla (Doubtland): “He gave me a good ride. James’ horse was in a different division. Obviously my bloke is looking for a trip.”

Rachel King (Every Rose): “Really good effort against the boys. Just at her top much of the way.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Peltzer): “Good run. Really happy. Run at a good speed. We are going to get nice benefit from that.”

Tim Clark (Osamu): “He overraced. That was the end of his race.”
