Jockey Quotes - Maurice McCarten Stakes

A big moment for apprentice Robbie Dolan as Easy Eddie revels in the conditions to win the Group 3 Maurice McCarten Stakes (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens.

Find out what the jockeys had to say.

Robbie Dolan (Easy Eddie): “It mightn’t be a big thing for a lot of people but for me it’s a big thing. I can’t believe it. I would like to thank Joe and his team for having the faith in me and the belief in me. Unreal.

“I would love to be on him (next week). I’m on in a Group 1 later on, so hopefully I will have that little bit of experience for next week.”

Jason Collett (Music Magnate): “Too heavy.”

Glyn Schofield (Advance Yulong): “Never in it.”

James McDonald (Fiery Heights): “He was okay, he just lacked a bit of match fitness.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Trekking): “He ran well, the ground just went against him a little bit. He’ll be better on nicer ground and he’s in for a good prep.”

Jay Ford (She Knows): “She was good, she relishes those conditions and she ran really well.”

Sam Clipperton (All Over Bosanova): “Great effort, I think if it was a slow track or better she almost just wins, good effort nonetheless.”

Tim Clark (Akasaki): “Ran well, just missed the start and got himself into a position that he couldn’t win from. Found the line well.”

Andrew Adkins (Memes): “Jumped well, travelled nicely, just lacking the killer instinct.”

Corey Brown (Junglized): “He’s a bit big for a wet-track like that, he doesn’t really handle it.”
