Alysha Collett (With Your Blessing) : “Someone said the other day. He might not be trying that hard, and it just shows that he absolutely loves his job. He loves pinging the barriers, getting to the front, and as long as you sit there and cuddle him and tell him he's good, he'll give you a really good effort.

“He just got a little bit lost that last 50m. He was a very good winner, very deserved. Thank you to the team for putting me on, and he's just one of my favourite horses. He just makes life easy.”

Josh Parr (Bosustow): “Great performance by him. Obviously landed in a good position. Just took him a little while to come up underneath me prior to the straight. Let down really well. Nice prep ahead.”

Andrew Adkins (Depth Of Character): “Terrific run. He’s bounced back after his last start. It was a moderate speed there which didn’t really suit him. Much better suited at a mile now he’s had a couple of runs under his belt.”

Andrew Mallyon (Yellow Brick): “Just a victim of the slow tempo. He’s a horse that needs a bit of speed on to be effective. They sat and sprinted on the point of the turn. He had to lug 59.5kg.”

Jason Collett (Kintyre): “Cost himself at the start which was frustrating. He’s run well.”

Rachel King (Matusalem): “Massive run. Unsuitable sort of distance first up but he sprinted really well. He’s in for a good prep.”

Zac Lloyd (Imperialist): “He is just looking for further. They dashed him pretty quick there. He’s just unable to do that.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Geriatrix): “He found it hard given they sat up in front. If he gets the right set up and a better draw, better pace, he can improve.”

Tim Clark (Royal Patronage): “Good run. He’ll improve off that.”

Tyler Schiller (Pocketing): “Pretty impressive run. Just had to battle to settle him early. HIs first half was probably a bit keen but two weeks between runs will suit him better next time. I thought he was strong late.”
