Injured Rider - Chris Williams (Randwick Trackwork, Tue)

Apprentice Jockey Chris Williams was injured after suffering a trackwork fall at Randwick earlier today.

Chris appeared to lose consciousness and complained of sore neck and back and felt groggy. Ambulance attended and transported Chris to St Vincent's Hospital.

NOK have been notified. Dr Duckworth will provide an update as soon as it is available.

(Update 3.30pm)

Chris has undergone scans and they have come back clear. He has been released from hospital and is quite sore and still a bit groggy.

He wont be riding until he is cleared from his GP.
