ROSEHILL GARDENS – BEST BET: Race 9 # 12 – WILLAIDOW

Like him, and he produced a career peak figure when winning last start. The gelding led his rivals up at an even tempo, controlled the speed and showed late strength to pull away from his rivals, clocking the ninth fastest final 200m split of the meeting. To add further merit to his performance, he was the only leader to win all day, and he gets a positive setup here. James McDonald sticks, he maps to have all favours and all key indicators suggest he can step again.

ROSEHILL GARDENS – VALUE BET: Race 8 # 9 – LAND LEGEND

He resumes off a long break but profiles well for this event. The import is entering his second OZ preparation under the guidance of trainer Chris Waller. He has had two trial trials where he has gone through the line full of energy. His first-up effort last campaign was full of merit, and he brings strong overseas form references that line up well for this grade. Although suited over more ground, he has the class/figures to run over the top of his rivals. Each-way.

ROSEHILL GARDENS – SECTIONAL STAR: Race 7 # 5 – AUTUMN GLOW

She was heavily backed on debut at this track/distance a fortnight ago and won impressively running slick time. The filly showed acceleration and extended her winning margin over the concluding stages, with Punter's Intelligence recording her final 200m split in 11.70. Further, that was approximately 2.5 lengths quicker than the race's next best. She will have only benefited from the race experience, and repeating her last start effort/figure will make her hard to hold out.

MOREE (SUNDAY) – COUNTRY PICK: Race 8 # 5 – LEICA MODEL

She overcame the race shape to score last start at this track in style. The mare weaved her way through the field, built momentum and knuckled down hard late, running the fourth fastest final 200m split of the meeting. She is two from two at Moree, returning to a dry surface is no issue and she has the closing speed figure to run over the top of her rivals.
