Five Diamonds Prelude And Wild Big Dance Number At Randwick

The $1 million Five Diamonds Prelude and second running of the Big Dance Wild Card feature on another new raceday at the $87 million Sydney Everest Carnival at Royal Randwick this Saturday.

A total of 156 horses have been entered across a big 10-race card as Sydney celebrates just a week after a record-breaking TAB Everest Day last week.

General Admission ticket holders and Australian Turf Club Members also have all public transport services – including light rail services directly to Royal Randwick – included.

The $1m Five Diamonds Prelude has attracted a capacity field with the winner of Saturday’s race gaining automatic entry into the $2m Five Diamonds at Rosehill Gardens on 11 November.

The Chris Waller-trained Democracy Manifest with jockey Tyler Schiller is the $4.80 TAB favourite coming out of a last start fifth in the Group 1 TAB Epsom.

Cotehele for trainer John O’Shea and jockey Tommy Sherry is $6-$5 TAB second favourite.

The first and second placegetters in Saturday’s $160,000 Big Dance Wild Card gain automatic entry into the $3m Big Dance at Royal Randwick on Tuesday 7 November.

In a wide-open betting market and another capacity field, Spangler (trainer Kris Lees and jockey Tommy Berry) is the $6 TAB favourite.
