The Australian Turf Club will host consecutive Black Type race days this Australia Day Long Weekend with Friday, 26 January at Warwick Farm and Saturday, 27 January at Rosehill Gardens.
Entry will be FREE on Australia day, Friday 26 January for all guests to enjoy the public holiday trackside and there will also be FREE racebooks distributed.
All racegoers are able to participate in the Australia Day silks promotion on Friday where if any jockey wearing Australia Day silks wins on the day, patrons will score a free Vili’s pie via a coupon in the racebook.
A strong eight race card will be highlighted by the Listed $150,000 Vili’s Pies Australia Day Cup at 4.00pm.
Cordero, for Hawkes Racing, has opened as the $2.70 TAB Fixed Odds favourite following a hat-trick of wins, including two over 2400m.
An exhibition gallop will take place following the running of Race 1 by Kudero (Jean Van Overmeire) and Torvill (Corey Brown) over 600m. The first race will take place at 1.00pm.
The long weekend of racing will continue at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.

On the track, the feature racing event of the day is the Listed $150,000 Carrington Stakes at 4.20pm.
Peter and Paul Snowden- trained George Patton leads the betting at $3.20 TAB Fixed Odds.This will be the five-year-old’s first race start on Australian soil having moved from France in 2016.
She Will Reign (Corey Brown) will complete an exhibition gallop over 800m following the running of Race 3 at 1.55pm.
