Wyong’s Popular Family Raceday This Sunday

Wyong Race Club's CEO, David Jewell, said the Club’s Family Raceday is getting bigger each year with more activities and entertainment for the kids, with all the rides and activities FREE.

The Club is anticipating over 100 entries for the Kids Fashion on the Field competition with over a $1500 in prizes on offer. Every child that enters Fashion on the Fields gets a goodie bag, while the winners and runners-up will receive some great prizes from Event Cinemas Tuggerah, Glenworth Valley, the Gosford Car museum and the Central Coast Mariners Football Club including jerseys and game tickets. The best dressed kids will also win their own spectacular new hats and headpieces from Fashion Eight fascinators.

There are categories for Master and Miss Best Dressed 12-16 year olds and 6-11 year-olds plus a special best novelty dressed and best “summer” dressed under 5. Entry in the Kids Fashion on the Field closes at 2pm at the fashion stage with judging from just after 2.30pm.

On-course attractions include the Kids Chill Out Zone with roving magicians and entertainers, free face painting, Art Tank, lawn games, puppet world and Central Coast Mariners football game. There is also a free photo booth, plus amusement rides including kids go-carts, a giant inflatable slide, jumping castle, tea cups ride, the big baller and bungee run.

Racing gets underway at 1.25pm with gates open from 12 noon. Gate entry is $10 for adults and free for all children. There’s live music on the lawns and lots of outdoor tables, umbrellas and food options for the adults and the kids will be kept busy all day.
