WRA Country Championships Qualifier (Strathaird Gains Start)

Racing NSW Stewards have received notification from trainer Dar Lunn that Not For Export, which gained a place in the Country Championships Final at Royal Randwick on 1 April 2017 - as the second WRA representative following the withdrawal of La La Loopsy - had pulled up poorly following its 7th placing at Scone on 5 March 2017 and has been subsequently spelled.

Trainers Mark Jones (4th placegetter Nordic Noir & 6th placegetter Eagles Dare) and Wayne Collison (5th placegetter Magic Over The Bay) advised their respective horses have been spelled and are not able to take their place in the final.

Consequently, 7th placegetter Strathaird, trained by Garry Lunn, will take its place in the Final as the second representative from the WRA region.
