Veterinary Inspection Of Addeybb (Racing At Rosehill Gardens, Saturday)

This morning a routine veterinary inspection was conducted of Addeybb, an acceptor in the Ranvet Stakes to be conducted at Rosehill Gardens this Saturday, following the gelding completing light work.

The inspection conducted by Racing NSW General Manager of Veterinary Services, Dr Toby Koenig, found the gelding to be 1/5 lame in the near foreleg with a mildly increased digital pulse in the near fore foot.

The William Haggas stable advised Racing NSW Stewards that the mild lameness is due to the gelding being recently plated and they are confident that the lameness will resolve by Saturday morning as the gelding has previously displayed similar tendencies after being plated.

Dr Koenig will inspect Addeybb tomorrow morning prior to final scratchings to ascertain if the gelding is suitable to race.
