Van Der Werf stormed home late with Beau Hoffa ($3) to take honours ahead of Lee Magorrian (Ricci Royal, $9.50) and Robbie Dolan (Wild Cavalier, $9.50). Jean Van Overmeire has extended his Rising Star lead by two points despite finishing fourth on the favourite Free Way ($2.20) today. The next heat will be run at Muswellbrook on Tuesday 24 October.
