Vale Mr Don Bartlett (Inverell)

Mr Don Bartlett, President of Inverell Jockey Club, died suddenly last week aged 62. A public memorial service will be held at Inverell Racecourse at 10am this Wednesday (20 September 2017).

Don had been president of IJC since 2014 and in that time had been responsible for several new improvements to the racecourse, bought new sponsors to the club along with a new enthusiasm to help share the fun of racing in the bush.

Don had previously been involved in several sporting organisations in Inverell and was a small shareholder in many racehorses, fast and slow.

Don's family and the Club invite all his friends, and particularly those involved in racing, to attend the service and later share a farewell drink at the course he worked so hard to maintain.
