The Gong Ambassadors Have Been Revealed

Five fresh faces will share the all-important role of Ambassadors for the 2025 edition of The Gong.

Alliera Carroll and Rebecca Webb from HAAUS, i98FM breakfast hosts Christian McEwen and Bella Leone, and farrier Tom McLackland will help promote Kembla Grange Racecourse’s marquee event which will be held on Saturday 22nd November.

Alliera, a Shell Cove local, and Rebecca founded HAAUS in 2021 and have been transforming homes ever since.

Their design services are highly sought after and they have contributed to Channel 9’s Holiday Home Makeover, featured extensively in magazines, and partnered with building supply and styling companies. Alliera will be part of the judging panel for Skin Revival Fashions on the Feld at The Gong.

Kembla Grange Racecourse is a second home for Tom McLackland, a farrier with 15 years’ experience. After graduating from Dapto High School, he followed his father into the trade, completing an apprenticeship under his guidance before branching out on his own.

Tom has been entrusted with the hoof care of multiple Group 1-winning horses including Kembla Grange’s $8.5 million champion Think It Over as well as rising star, Our Gold Hope.

Christian McEwen and Bella Leone host the Illawarra’s number 1 breakfast show and can be heard on i98FM from 6am – 9am weekdays. They are no strangers to Kembla Grange Racecourse and The Gong, having been involved with the race club since 2021.

The hilarious pair finished 4th in The Great Gong Chase, and Christian ran 3rd in The Gong Celebrity Scamper last year. Christian and Bella will be bringing the feel-good fun to Skin Revival Fashions on the Field as emcees for the best dressed competition.

“Each of the ambassadors has been chosen to represent a different aspect of The Gong,” said Illawarra Turf Club's Operations Manager, Chloe Hackett.

"Alliera and Rebecca are the lifestyle ambassadors, Tom plays a significant role in the racing industry, and Christian and Bella are popular local entertainers. We are excited about working with them in the lead up to this event.”

Hospitality for The Gong has sold out but tickets for The Little Gong, Trackside Precinct, Mitch Beer Marquee, and General Admission are available and selling fast. Visit The Gong Raceday - Moshtix
