Taste Of Turf To Spice Up TAB Everest Week

Taste Of Turf is an exciting, one-of-a-kind food and lifestyle experience that makes its debut on Wednesday 11 October 2023 in the lead up to the world’s richest horse race - The TAB Everest on 15 October 2023.

Around 25 of Sydney’s renowned chefs will serve sample sizes of their tantalising signature dishes from branded service stations. Their delicious food will be served in person by the jockeys competing at The TAB Everest accompanied by other well-known trainers and personalities.

Each food station will be dressed in the magnificent, vibrant colours of that jockey’s silks.

Plus, there will be plenty of “watering holes” with intriguing cocktails, wine and champagne to complement this delicious food in other words; a moveable feast featuring the finest Australian cuisine, award winning jockeys and a palate pleasing variety of refreshing beverages.

Good music will ensure the fun vibe grows during the evening.

This Taste Of concept made its debut in the tennis world twenty years ago in New York City, held prior to the US Open with the Taste of Tennis featuring New York’s finest chefs, accompanied by the world’s best tennis players.

Taste of Turf’s owner Karen Scott Happer, a former Sydneysider living in the USA, is bringing this prestigious event to Australia with the help of Australian TV legend Kerri-Anne Kennerley.

“There are no boundaries when creating sponsor and food concepts for the elegant, social and race loving fraternity on this unique night,'' Karen said.

"I welcome the opportunity of meeting with everyone to develop exciting presentation packages unlike anything Sydney Racing has ever seen."

Taste of Turf will make its international debut in the Winx Ballroom at Royal Randwick on Wednesday 11 October, from 7-10 pm. It mixes racing royalty and celebrities with corporate sponsors, their VIP guests and Everest racing fans all gathering at Australia’s longest standing racing venue.

Taste of Turf tickets will go on sale June 15th 2023.
