TAB Everest Day at Royal Randwick – featuring the world’s richest race on turf – has sold out, leaving Membership of the Australian Turf Club the final option to attend.
All remaining General Admission tickets were sold late Monday night, almost two weeks ahead of TAB Everest Day on Saturday 18 October.
Australian Turf Club today launched a special offer to become an ATC Member which guarantees attendance on TAB Everest Day.
A one-off joining fee of $500 will be waived if customers use the code word EVEREST when becoming a new Member ahead of TAB Everest Day.
The early sell-out of TAB Everest Day comes after the first three days of the Sydney Everest Carnival have recorded increased crowds from last year.
Australian Turf Club's Interim Chief Executive, Steve McMahon said the ninth running of the $20 million Group 1-TAB Everest shaped as the strongest race in its history.
“TAB Everest Day has become a Sydney phenomenon in less than a decade and we are delighted with our partners Racing NSW to put up the house full sign for the second year running," Mr McMahon said.
“The [Group 1] $20 million TAB Everest is also creating unprecedented interest worldwide and this year sees the arrival of Hong Kong superstar Ka Ying Rising, the world’s highest rated sprinter.
“But he will need to be the world’s best to beat the very best sprinters Australia has to offer including local stars Briasa, Joliestar, Lady Shenandoah, Angel Capital and Jimmysstar, amongst several others.
“Membership of the ATC is now the only way you can still be a part of world-class racing and unrivalled raceday atmosphere and entertainment.
“For those who miss TAB Everest Day, we urge you to look at other racedays throughout spring including the first running at Royal Randwick of the Golden Eagle."

Mr McMahon said 54% of General Admission ticketholders were aged under 34: “The TAB Everest’s sell-out crowd is yet again vindication of the original vision of Racing NSW to attract a younger generation of racegoers.
“The TAB Everest has successfully attracted a new generation of racegoers, drawn to the thrilling racing and the exceptional value of a day at the races, with Nathan Dawe performing the After the Last concert for this year.”
