Sydney Spring Carnival Continues At Randwick This Saturday

Royal Randwick will host City Tattersalls Club Cup Day as the ultimate party race day this Saturday, 21 October.

Patrons can again pre-purchase the $49 Punters Pack at theRaces.com.au. Representing more than $100 in value, the Punters Pack includes entry, four standard drinks, food pack, reserved seating in the grandstand and a race book.

All valid pre-purchased tickets and ATC Members cards include travel on Sydney train, ferry and bus services to ensure a hassle free arrival and departure from Royal Randwick.

The venue will feature a number of pop-up bars including the Heineken 3 House which is open for all racegoers to access. The undercover premium themed bar will have a DJ playing throughout the day and is located on the Ground Floor of the Leger Lawn Marquee.

There will also be a Moët & Chandon pop-up, Pimms Horse Float and Heineken Container Bar, which will also be available to all attendees.

On the track, punters will enjoy a day of Black Type racing featuring the Group 3 $150,000 ICD Nivison, the Listed $150,000 Southern Cross Group Brian Crowley Stakes and the Listed $125,000 City Tattersalls Club Cup, plus all the live action from Melbourne will be shown on televisions across the course.

An exhibition gallop will be completed following the conclusion of race 2 by David Payne-trained Ace High over 2000m.

Last start winner Diddums leads the betting as the $4.00 TAB Fixed Odds favourite in the Group 3 $150,000 ICD Nivison in an open race. The Gerald Ryan-trained mare is proven over course and distance.

Stablemates Dixie Blossoms ($5.00 TAB Fixed Odds) and Daisy Doom ($5.50 TAB Fixed Odds) will have a rematch in the 1200m sprint after running first and second respectively in the Group 3 Angst Stakes at Royal Randwick on 7 October and the reverse placings at Rosehill Gardens in the Group 2 Golden Pendant on 23 September.

Chris Waller’s Alward has been shown support in the market opening as the short priced $2.15 favourite in the Listed $125,000 City Tattersalls Club Cup. The four-year-old chestnut will be looking for a hat trick of wins when he takes his place in the field.

Admiral Jello ($2.90 TAB Fixed Odds), trained by Kris Lees closely follows in the betting having tasted success on the Royal Randwick track over 2400m.

Gates Open at 11.00am with the first race at 12.30pm.
