Strong Nominations For Taree's Country Championships Day (Sunday)

There have been 126 nominations for the eight-race program on Taree’s biggest prizemoney raceday ever, the Mid North Coast Racing Association Country Championships Qualifier race meeting on Sunday (26 February).

The main race has attracted 19 nominations with representatives coming from most of the major Mid North Coast stables.

Weights have already been released for the Country Championships Qualifier with the Cliff Bashford-trained Ever So Natural and Neil Godbolt-trained Hippy Hi Ho equal topweights on 57.5 kilograms. Other main chances includes Cogliere, Portatorio and Dubai Sights all weighted on 56kg.

Nominations have been extended until 11am on Wednesday in the Benchmark 65 Handicap over 1000 metres, the Class One Handicap over 1000 metres, the Class One and Maiden Plate over 2000 metres and the 4 year old and upwards Maiden Plate over 1300 metres.
