Stewards Invoke Level 2 Hot Weather Policy For Grafton (Sunday)

Racing NSW Stewards advise that with the predicted temperature of 44+ degrees for Sunday’s Grafton race meeting, Level 2 of the Racing NSW Hot Weather Policy will be invoked.

The following processes will be implemented: • Pre-parade will be shortened • Additional veterinary staff employed • Ice water machine & extra hoses located in mounting enclosure and horse stall area

NOTE: Stewards advise that horses are required to be on course 60 minutes before the scheduled starting time of each race, but the Veterinary Dept strongly recommends that trainers travelling with horses should plan to arrive more than 90 minutes prior to allow time to acclimatise and settle their horses with adequate cooling facilities available.
