Stewards Inquiry - Trainer Benjamin Smith
Racing NSW Stewards have now received all analytical results in respect to exhibits obtained from Newcastle trainer Benjamin Smith on 11 September 2018, in addition to the certified findings from two Official Racing Laboratories that the following samples have had cobalt detected at elevated levels.
- N214589 – Iron Duke Newcastle 25 August 2018 (Raceday sample)
- N206587 – Elaborate Wyong 26 August 2018 (Raceday sample)
- N214994 – El Dorado Dreaming Newcastle 11 September 2018 (Non-raceday sample)
- N214986 – Tabrobane Newcastle 11 September 2018 (Non-raceday sample)
Racing NSW Stewards have scheduled the resumption of the inquiry/hearing of charges issued against Mr Smith on 11 September 2018, for 13 and 14 February 2019 commencing at 8:30am at the offices of Racing NSW, Level 11/51 Druitt Street, Sydney.
