A record 123 acceptances has Hawkesbury Race Club officials buoyant that Saturday's race meeting will be the best Stand Alone conducted since its inception in 2006.
A capacity field of 16 runners plus two emergencies has been declared for the $200,000 Group 3 Livamol Hawkesbury Gold Cup (1600m).
Another capacity line-up of 14 plus three emergencies has been drawn for the Group 3 feature, the $175,000 Godolphin Crown (1300m).
The Group 3 Blacktown Workers Hawkesbury Guineas has attracted a field of 14.
“It reinforces this meeting as one of the highlights of the Autumn, positioned well between the end of Royal Randwick, leading into Scone and then the Brisbane Winter Carnival," Hawkesbury Race Club Chief Executive, Greg Rudolph said.
"Not only are our three Group races full of quality and depth, our support card is strong and will ensure that given a good track and fine weather, we are in a for a great day's racing," he added.
Hawkesbury this afternoon is rated a Good (4), with a Penetrometer reading of 4.86.
