Trainer Con Karakatsanis - Hearing Of Charges (Howmuchdoyouloveme) Racing NSW Stewards have scheduled the continuation of the hearing of charges issued against licensed trainer Con Karakatsanis for offences under AR178E(1) and AR178AB(1)(b) in respect to whether the racehorse Howmuchdoyouloveme was treated in contravention of the Rules of Racing prior to being presented to race at Royal Randwick on 17 September 2016. The hearing on 20 December 2016 was adjourned to allow Mr Karakatsanis to present expert veterinary evidence in respect to his defence of the charges. The hearing will be conducted at the offices of Racing NSW to commence at 10am on Thursday, 9 February 2017.

Stewards Inquiry – Far Out (Port Macquarie) Racing NSW Stewards have scheduled an inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the late withdrawal of the racehorse Far Out from Race 2 Benchmark 55 Handicap conducted at Port Macquarie on 7 January 2017, following Racing NSW Stewards taking possession of a modified and unapproved whip at trackwork on that morning. Trainer of Far Out, Marc Quinn and licensed jockey Jamie Quinnell have been directed to attend the inquiry which is scheduled to be conducted at the Newcastle Racecourse on Monday, 6 February 2017 commencing at 11am.
