Punter's Intelligence Wrap - Rosehill 15th June

Know Thyself stole the show at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday after his dominant display in the TAB Highway.

The Paul Messara & Leah Gavranich runner relished getting out to 1400m on a bigger track, and he put his rivals to the sword, winning by over five lengths.

He travelled well throughout transit, and when produced in the straight, he showed immediate acceleration.

Punter's intelligence backed up his visual dominance, with the gelding running a strong final 400m sectional in 24.20 and pricked his ears on the line. All key indicators suggest he can only improve and he'll excel over the mile.

Runner-up Shihab is in career-best form, and he was heavily checked slightly after the start of the race, leading him to get too far back in the run.

He built through his gears well, and his sectional profile had merit. Further, he ran one of the fastest final 200m splits of the meeting in 12.13.

Agirlsbestfriend had too much to do, and her split breakdown suggests she could only benefit from the outing.

She was restrained from a wide draw and had to make a long sustained run, clocking 24.35 for that section. Additionally, after exerting all her energy through that section, she peaked on her run late.

NZ import Strathtay was another decisive winner in the Benchmark 78 event over 2000m.

He was well-ridden, but once clear in the straight, he put his rivals away quickly and went through the line full of energy.

He clocked the sixth fastest final 200m split of the meeting in 11.94 and can only step off that performance. Additionally, he can rise in trip, and a race with more pressure will only be a plus.

The Dar Lunn trained Elson Boy made it six wins in a row after he ran his rivals ragged in the Benchmark 78 event of 1300m.

He led at a fast pace and clocked an overall time of 1:21.02, approximately 1.5 lengths faster than a direct comparison.

Testator Silens is now ready to peak third-up over more ground after being outpaced up-tempo, but he found the line solidly, running the race's quickest final 200m in 12.28.

In Flight bounced back into the winner's stall after surging late in the Benchmark 72 assignment over 1100m, and that race rated well relative to the day.

She ran the second-quickest final furlong of the meeting in 11.78 and proved she has returned an improved filly this prep.

Hanau had excuses when the sprint went on and was checked/blocked at critical stages. To his credit, once clear, he picked up well and clocked a fast overall final 600m, 35.40, the meeting's sixth fastest. He will be fitter for that, and over more ground is ideal.

A quick mention of Amati, who ran the meeting's fastest final 600m/400m/200m splits in 34.96/22.89/11.48.

Fastest last 600m: Amati 34.96
