Position Available: Chief Executive (Racing NSW Country)

Racing NSW Country (RNSWC) provides regulatory and administrative assistance to country race clubs involved in Thoroughbred horse racing within NSW.

We have an exciting opportunity to lead a small department which provides assistance to country race clubs and liaises with Racing NSW in the regulation of thoroughbred racing in NSW.

Located in Sydney’s CBD, we are seeking a professionally presented and self-motivated person interested in pursuing or furthering a senior management career in the thoroughbred racing industry.

As Chief Executive, you will be responsible to the Chairman and Board of RNSWC, and for the management of all aspects of the organisations activities.

This is a hands-on role and to be considered for this position the successful candidate will be tertiary qualified and possess an outstanding record in business management at a senior level.

Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and management skills, combined with a strong understanding of accounting and financial concepts is essential.

You will have the ability to work autonomously but also adopt a consultative approach to leading a small team and liaising with the many participants that comprise the country thoroughbred racing sector in NSW.

Exposure and/or experience within the thoroughbred racing industry will be highly regarded but is not essential for the successful candidate. A genuine interest in or knowledge of thoroughbred racing is necessary.

It is envisaged the successful applicant will be provided an attractive remuneration package commensurate to their relevant experience.

Your interest will be treated in strict confidence.
