NJC Takes A Great Relationship To The Next Level

In a massive vote of confidence for the continued growth and future direction of local Thoroughbred racing, the newly named Sharp Office (formerly Sharp Electronics Group) has extended their major sponsorship of Newcastle Jockey Club (NJC) through to 2026.

This exciting announcement comes hot on the heels of Sharp Office’s recent brand re-launch that coincided with their 50-year anniversary since establishing the Sharp business in Newcastle.

Managing Director of Sharp Office, George Tuntevski, explained that the new branding better reflected the range of services they provide, and they wanted to celebrate this pivotal moment by extending their significant support of the NJC.

“On re-branding, we reflected on our key partnerships and agreed it’s a perfect time for us to re-invigorate our support of the NJC with a 5-year extension of our current deal," Mr Tuntevski said.

"We can also update our presence around the track and into the upcoming spring carnival. Our relationship with the Jockey Club has been a real win-win.”

In announcing the extension with Sharp that will take their major sponsorship of the Club and spring carnival to nine years, NJC Chief Executive, Matt Benson acknowledged the outstanding relationship between the two local icons.

“When Sharp signed up in 2018, we were delighted to have a leading local business take on major sponsorship of the club," Mr Benson said.

"It is a credit to the commitment of both organisations to our partnership that Sharp approached us to extend the deal – we couldn’t be happier working so closely with such a professional and supportive team.”

Sharp Office not only sponsor the club, but they also provide the NJC with their printing/copier needs, stationary and the SENPOS point of sale system used throughout the facility.

“It is brilliant when both parties have such positive strategic outcomes and it is so mutually beneficial,” Mr Tuntevski added.
