Licensed Trainer Carl Poidevin Lodges An Appeal

Licensed trainer Carl Poidevin has lodged an appeal against conviction and penalty after being found guilty by Racing NSW Stewards under AR178 AB & AR175.

On 8 May 2018, Mr Poidevin was disqualified for 22 months, thus allowing him to reapply for his trainer's licence on 8 March 2020.

This followed the detection of a prohibited substance in a raceday inspection of Mr Poidevin stables from urine and blood samples taken from Master Agar and Tony’s Princess.

On application of the Appellant, which was opposed by the Stewards, the Principal Member has refused a Stay of Proceedings.

A date for this Appeal is yet to be set.
