Licensed Stablehand Disqualified For Six Months

Racing NSW Stewards opened an inquiry into a complaint lodged by licensed stablehand Ms Sophie Johnson against licensed stablehand Ms Elizabeth Hasler in respect of an incident that occurred on Saturday, 3rd March 2018 outside a licensed hotel in Kensington.

Evidence was taken from both Ms Elizabeth Hasler and Ms Sophie Johnson.

Ms Hasler pleaded guilty to a charge of improper conduct under AR175(q), the particulars being that on Saturday, 3rd March 2018 at approximately 11.30pm, she physically assaulted Ms Sophie Johnson, by punching her on two occasions, such conduct resulted in Ms Johnson having to seek medical attention.

In all the circumstances Ms Hasler was disqualified for a period of 6 months, to commence immediately and to expire on Friday, 20 October 2018.

AR 175.
The Principal Racing Authority (or the Stewards exercising powers delegated to them) may penalise;

(q) Any person who in their opinion is guilty of any misconduct, improper conduct or unseemly behavior.
