Jockey Quotes - Roman Consul Stakes

Cosmic Force bounced straight to the front in the $300,000 G2 Polytrack Roman Consul Stakes (1200m) and was never headed.

Tim Clark (Cosmic Force): “I just rode him like the best horse, I came and galloped him Tuesday morning and he went like a jet, I was pretty confident today.”

“If you look at his form, he’s a horse that improved with every run last preparation.”

Nash Rawiller (Microphone): “His last bit was good. I don’t think he came here with his mind 100% on the job today. I’m sure the team will sort that out a little bit more as he goes along with his preparation. I was thrilled with his last 100m and we all know getting out to 1400m is his go. It was very encouraging.”

Jason Collett (Accession): “He just didn’t have the speed early. He worked home but the race was over by then.”

Josh Parr (Standout): “Great effort from a very talented horse. He is exciting.”

Brenton Avdulla (True Detective): “I was asked to ride him quiet with cover to find the line. I was disappointed with the way he finished off.”

Jay Ford (Human Nature): “Talented horse but his mind is in other places. He overraced badly and left himself with no finishing effort.”

Martin Harley (Dirty Work): “He ran well. I got a bit excited for a few strides. I think the trip is his maximum. Come back in trip and I think there is a good day in him. He is still a maiden but he won’t be for long.”

Check out the results and replays for Randwick on Saturday.
