Jockey Quotes - Hobartville Stakes

Glyn Schofield took the $400,000 Chandon S Chic Easy G2 Hobartville Stakes (1400m) by the scruff of the neck and the flashy colt was dominant in the end.

Kementari was superior on the day

Glyn Schofield (Kementari): "He was dominant today. If he broke well we decided to see where he ended up. I could've let him dash away at the top of the straight but he has had a bit of a look once or twice. He ran true, he ran straight and was strong."

Blake Shinn (Assimilate): "Disappointing. He didn’t really travel."

Jay Ford (Luvaluva): "Really good. Obviously they were a bit sharp for her but really loved the way she closed off late."

Jason Collett (Capital Gain): "He worked home okay."

Brenton Avdulla (Siege Of Quebec): "Went okay. I was a little bit disappointed with his last 100m but he probably just wants further."

Andrew Adkins (Brave Song): "They were a bit sharp for him but it was a pretty good run."

Hugh Bowman (D’argento): "I expected him to run well today and he did exactly that."

Tye Angland (Ace High): "Jumped well, put himself in a good spot. He’ll improve a lot off that."

Christian Reith (Lord Cecil): "He has got excuses today - he got galloped on really badly."

Corey Brown (Pierata): "Ran really well. I landed a position further back than I wanted to be but I had to take him out of his comfort zone to ride him up there. He hit the line well but ran into a better one on the day."

Tim Clark (Trapeze Artist): "I was rapt with how he went. I didn’t really want to lead but got left there. The best he has finished is fourth second up, his big two wins have been third up so onto the Randwick Guineas. He’ll be hard to beat."
