Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts after the Group 2 $2,000,000 Toyota Forklifts Hill Stakes (1900m) at Rosehill Gardens.
Nash Rawiller (Lindermann) : My first ride on this was here at Rosehill and we ran astronomical time over 1400. It was in a BM78 and I felt like we were sort of going 12s in front and got back and had a look at the clock, and he was running sub 11s and doing it on his ear.
“I just thought, wow, this could be something special, this horse. He tricks you how quick he's going.
“His biggest asset is not just his heart but also his attitude. He never gives up, he probably knew he was more in front than I did, to be honest, because I wasn't sure, but he's just a horse that keeps coming through for you.
“I started to lose a bit of faith in him on wet tracks, but he's smarter than me, he was just looking after himself, and thankfully for that reason, he's been able to bounce out of them and put in his heart and soul like he normally does.”
Lindermann wins the Hill Stakes
Kerrin McEvoy (Attrition): “He ran great. Would have liked to have taken a bit more of a prominent spot early. They went steady. I had to make a call to stride into it. Credit to the horse because he had to do it tough and has held onto second.”
Dylan Gibbons (Maison Louis): “He is a little bulldog. Has done well to pick up third.”
Chad Schofield (Light Infantry Man): “We had a good trip from the gate. Was solid up the straight.”
Tom Sherry (Fawkner Park): “The speed of the race probably didn’t help him. He gave me a good feel.”
Zac Lloyd (Bois D'argent): “He has returned really well. That run is going to bring him on. Tried to be a bit closer but the race shuffle kept bringing us back a pair. He will improve a lot off that.”
Tommy Berry (Kovalica): “Lucky to stay on his feet at the first corner. The speed came out of the race down the side. Turned into a sprint home. Did a good job from where he was.”
Jason Collett (Militarize): “Really good. Got a shuffle mid-race which wasn’t ideal. Attacked the line strongly.”
Josh Parr (Huetor): No comment
Tim Clark (Elamaz): “He didn’t quite finish off as expected.”
John Allen (Kingswood): “I thought I was the winner on the corner. Just might have felt the ground a little late.”
Regan Bayliss (Palmetto): “Had to do a little bit of work early. Followed Lindermann. Ran super.
Adam Hyeronimus (Converge): No comment
Tyler Schiller (Our Gold Hope): “I thought she has done a good job from the back today. There wasn’t much tempo which didn’t suit. Probably looking for a bit softer track. Has gone really good.”
