Adam Hyeronimus (Tropical Squall): “She’s a very classy filly and from the first time I sat on her she’s shown that and it’s good to see her do what she’s done today. We were very confident a long way out during her preparation and it’s pleasing to come and deliver.

“Obviously I rode my first one for them (Group 1 winner - Shout The Bar) at the start of the pandemic , no one was there and celebrations were quite quiet but to ride another Group 1 winner for them is very special. They’ve always been there for me and I’ve got a great relationship with the pair of them, I probably tell a lot of people it’s a training trio but it isn’t.”

Tropical Squall wins the Flight Stakes

Jason Collett (Kimochi): “Great run. Sat in behind the winner and came off its back like I was going to win but couldn’t get it down.”

Zac Lloyd (Tiz Invincible): “Very unfortunate. When the barriers came out I knew we were going to be in strife. They made it a genuine mile and she was three deep.”

Rachel King (Summer Loving): “Disappointing today. Think she might have had enough.”

Jamie Kah (Mollynickers): “She has run enormous. Barrier just wasn’t great. She needed room and probably shouldn’t have run third.”

Blake Shinn (Captain Amelia): “Great run. Acquitted herself well. Ran a good solid 5th.”

Tyler Schiller (Private Legacy): “A little bit unlucky when the momentum went into the race. Found the line well.”

James McDonald (Unique Ambition): “She is a beautiful filly. Might have all come a bit quick.”

Craig Williams (Hasty Honey): “Blinkers came on today and she offset her barrier to be outside the eventual winner. They were a bit too strong and good for her today.”
