Jockey Quotes - Chelmsford Stakes

Unforgotten announced herself as a serious spring player in the G2 Chelmsford Stakes (1600m) overcoming trouble to beat a very brave Ace High.

Hugh Bowman (Unforgotten): “She just looks magnificent, it’s lovely to be back on her, obviously she raced against Winx a couple weeks ago and it was a real eye catcher, finishing late over a distance that was too short. I am sure Chris will have plenty of options for her.”

“I had the horse to take me places I wouldn’t go on many, she is pretty smart and she put the writing on the wall when she won the ATC Oaks here in the autumn, the world is her oyster. I wouldn’t imagine she would be beating Winx anytime soon but there are plenty of nice races for her.”

Unforgotten is a star on the rise

Corey Brown (It's Somewhat): “Ran well, but he’s not travelling as well as he used to. Suggested a set of winkers or blinkers to spark him up.”

Christian Reith (Mr Moonlight Magic): “He ran well. He just wants ground.”

Jean Van Overmeire (Classic Uniform): “Ran well. Definitely wants further and he will improve.”

James McDonald (One Foot In Heaven): “Good run. Wants ten furlongs to a mile and a half. Wet ground.”

Jay Ford (Religify): “Honest as usual. He’s going really well. Once he drops back to a Listed or Group Three race he will be right in it.”

Michael Walker (Libran): “Ran super. Chris asked me to ride him dead quiet today and find the line and he did. Ran huge.”

Tommy Berry (Prized Icon): “It was a good effort. Pace was strong and I was made to make my run earlier than I wanted to cause otherwise I was going to be stuck behind Classic Uniform and I knew he wasn’t going to take me into the race. He just petered on his run late but he’s in good form and he can win one soon.”

Rachel King (Allergic): “Really good return. Had a year off but he will definitely improve for fitness.”

James Innes Jnr (Red Excitement): “He ran good. He showed a bit of a site there for a while. Good run going forward. He’s not lost it yet.”

Josh Parr (Cabeza De Vaca): “Below his best.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Satono Rasen): “Nice run. He just got off the bridle when they quickened. Got going for me late but we ran out of room. Look out for him over further.”

Tye Angland (Ace High): “Good solid run. Few people were scratching their head last start, I thought he ran well, but today it was good to see him bounce back.

Tim Clark (Sedanzer): “Really good run. She just tries her heart out.”
