Jockey Quotes - Bill Ritchie Handicap

In a driving finish, Siege Of Quebec put himself in the frame for the Epsom Handicap later this month with a narrow win.

Find out what the jockeys made of their mounts in the Group 3 Bill Ritchie Handicap (1400m) at Royal Randwick.

Tim Clark (Seige Of Quebec): “He has been flying, didn’t handle the wet last week, this looked a suitable race for him down in the weights.

“Had a nice run and really knuckled down that last 50m and stuck his head out.”

Siege Of Quebec nails Pierata to win the Bill Ritchie Handicap at Randwick

Hugh Bowman (Music Magnate): “He ran a gallant race he just needs to settle a bit more within himself in the run but he is back on track.”

James McDonald (Pierata): “Went really good just got caught wide but he finished off nice.”

Glyn Schofield (Duca Valentinois): “He has come back pleasingly after a knock-down performance the other day he is certainly working his way into some form and I am sure he will be right there soon.”

Corey Brown (Tom Melbourne): “He went okay, he was not as fresh and bouncy and he did not have any zip about him today, the further he goes the better he will get.”

Jason Collett (Invictus Prince): “Just flat footed when they sprinted but he did pick up and hit the line good.”

Andrew Adkins (Sir Plush): “Had a really nice run in transit just a bit too good for him over the final 150m.”

Kerrin McEvoy (Paret): “Stuck on okay, probably a bit below those top ones at the moment.”
