After being issued with a careless riding suspension at Hawkesbury on Thursday 8 November 2018, jockey Glyn Schofield subsequently contacted Stewards to advise that during the period of suspension he will be unable to ride in the Group 1 Railway Stakes to be run in Perth on Saturday 24 November 2018. As no mitigation had previously been given to Jockey Schofield for feature meetings included in the penalty, Stewards reduced the 8 meeting penalty by 15% and ruled that his license to ride in races was suspended for a period to commence on Sunday 18 November 2018 and to expire on Saturday 1 December 2018, on which day he may ride (7 Meetings).
