Race 4 Number 1 – Plymouth Road (NZ) - Rider reported the gelding may not have been suited to todays track conditions and had come to the end of its preparation. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Trainer has since reported he was happy with the gelding's trial at Randwick on 5/1/17. (Geelong 15/12/16)

Race 4 Number 6 – Scooner (USA) – Overraced in the early and middle stages. (Sandown Hillside 4/1/17)

Race 4 Number 8 – Destination Tucson - Connections advised would be ridden forward; began awkwardly and shortly after the start had to be checked and settled at the rear. Near the 100m had to be steadied when Red Ticker shifted out before being straightened by its rider. Rider reported that after being inconvenienced at the start, settled further back than anticipated and as the mare is one-paced, was not suited. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. (Yarra Valley 29/12/16)
