International Stewards Extract for Royal Randwick on Saturday (16th February).
In Race 7, No.5 – MELT (NZ) (Riccarton 17/11/2018): Melt (Sam Spratt) over-raced badly in the early stages and was forced inwards by Media Sensation (Michael Coleman) passing the 1000m, then had to be checked to avoid the heels of Wekaforce (Jacob Lowry). When questioned regarding performance, rider advised that after parading in a very fresh condition the filly had not helped its chances by over-racing and then had been quickly beaten once placed under pressure. A post-race veterinary inspection revealed the filly to have a prolonged rate of recovery.
