Injured NSW Jockeys Report (Latest Update - Lismore Race Fall)

Three jockeys were injured in a three-horse fall at Lismore on Saturday (4th February).

Blaireau Eagle (Terry Treichel) appeared to blunder and fall, dislodging his rider around the 600m mark, resulting in Milady Duchess (Noriyuki Masuda) and Stormy Deeds (Miki Nakao) also coming to grief.

Racing NSW Steward, Mark Holloway, advised all three jockeys were transported to Lismore Hospital for further treatment.

Update at 11am on Monday (6th February): Terry Treichel was discharged from hospital and is resting at home. He has multiple fractures to his ribs, shoulder, collarbone and a swollen jaw. It is expected he will need surgery and Doctors will re-examine him later this week.

Noriyuki Masuda remains in Lismore Hospital after undergoing surgery to pin and plate his fractured pelvis. His girlfriend is bedside.

Miki Nakao also remains in Lismore Hospital after x-rays revealed she has sustained a fracture to her C7 vertebrae.
