Racing NSW Steward, Drew Smith, has reported jockey Adrian Layt was dislodged after his mount My Girl Ella broke down and subsequently fell during race 2 at Taree on Friday.
Adrian escaped injury, however, Alison Threadwell (Heart of Silver), who was following Layt’s mount, was subsequently dislodged. Alison is complaining of soreness to her leg and is being transported to Taree Base Hospital.
Update at 9am on Saturday 22 July: Racing NSW's Dr. David Duckworth reported that Alison Threadwell has been discharged from Taree Hospital, having escaped any fractures. Alison has suffered bruising and some stitches to her leg and will be off riding for at least 10 days.
