Injured NSW Jockey Report (Latest Update - Alan Barton)

Dione Hughes has reported her husband, Alan Barton, was educating a yearling on the sand track at Gooree Park near Mudgee on Wednesday morning when his mount fell and rolled on him.

Alan was briefly unconscious and sustained five fractured ribs, a fracture in his neck which is stable and a punctured lung. Alan was subsequently airlifted to Westmead Hospital.
