Hawkesbury's 20th Anniversary Of Stand-Alone Saturday

Hawkesbury Race Club is proud to mark a major milestone in 2025 - the 20th anniversary of our Stand-Alone Saturday raceday, a jewel in the NSW racing calendar.

While the iconic Hawkesbury Gold Cup dates back to 1871, it was in 2006 that Hawkesbury first hosted its own Stand-Alone Saturday meeting.

The raceday has since become a much-loved tradition for racing fans right across the state.

This year’s Cup Day, to be held on Saturday 3 May promises a stellar line-up of elite racing, vibrant entertainment and community celebration.

The outstanding raceday is made possible thanks to the generous backing of our much-valued sponsors.

Headlining the program is the time-honoured Group 3-Richmond Club Hawkesbury Gold Cup (1600m), offering $250,000 in prizemoney.

The race is again proudly sponsored by Richmond Club, a long-standing supporter of the local region and its racing heritage.

Two more Group 3 feature races include:

• The Elite Sand & Soil Hawkesbury Guineas (1400m), featuring the next generation of star three-year-olds
• The Pioneer Services Hawkesbury Crown (1300m), showcasing the speed and talent of top-class fillies and mares

The action continues with the Listed XXXX Gold Rush (1100m), thanks to Lion Co, whose bold nature captures the energy of this exciting sprint event.

Among our valued partners, we proudly acknowledge Blakes Marine – a founding sponsor of Hawkesbury’s Stand-Alone Saturday.

For 20 years, Blakes Marine has supported HRC and in 2025, they return once again as sponsor. Their ongoing commitment is a testament to the strength of community partnerships in racing.

Other key races and sponsors include:

• 2YO Clarendon Stakes (1400m) – St Johns Park Bowling Club
• Benchmark Handicap – The Lawn Shed
• Benchmark Hcp – Clarendon Tavern
• TAB Highway Hcp (1500m) – TAB
• Midway Benchmark 72 Hcp (1500m)

Hawkesbury Race Club extends its heartfelt thanks to all sponsors whose support not only powers this iconic raceday but helps foster the growth of our racing community in Greater Western Sydney and beyond.

Join us for a day of racing, fashion, community and celebration as we honour the past 20 years and race into the future. For more information and tickets - CLICK HERE
