Hawkesbury Trainer Jason Attard Injured During Trackwork

Racing NSW Veterinarian Dr Craig Suan reported Hawkesbury Trainer Jason Attard was injured when an unraced 2yo he was riding broke down.

Jason has been transported to the Nepean Hospital with a fractured right shoulder which requires surgery. Jason's wife Lucy is with him in hospital and they are being supported by Racing NSW medical staff.

Update at 9pm Tuesday (9th May): Jason's wife Lucy has reported Jason was released from hospital after further tests revealed Jason's injuries aren't as serious as first thought. Jason has suffered multiple breaks to his collarbone requiring possible surgery and he will see Racing NSW's Dr David Duckworth on Monday to discuss the most appropriate treatment.
