Hawkesbury Race Club Announces Departure Of CEO

The Chairman Dr Phil Chen, on behalf of Hawkesbury Race Club and the Board, announce the departure of Ken Rutherford from his position as CEO of Hawkesbury Race Club.

After holding the position of CEO of Hawkesbury Race Club since February 2020, Ken Rutherford has decided to return to New Zealand for family reasons.

Hawkesbury Race Club and the Board would like to acknowledge Ken Rutherford for his service and contribution.

Lea Porteous, HRC’s Business Manager will assume the role of interim CEO in the immediate future.

Hawkesbury Race Club is looking forward to the easing of restrictions during the next few weeks and welcoming patrons back on course - Thursday 21st October.

The highlight of the rest of the Hawkesbury racing calendar will of course be the ever popular Ladies Day on Thursday 4th November. It is the go-to event of the spring racing season.

There will be plenty happening on and off the track with live entertainment and fashions on the field.

HRC will be operating in a fully COVID safe manner in line with government restrictions and requirements.
