Gallopers For Carers Charity Dinner (Sapphire Coast - Sat 4 February)

The Gallopers for Carers Charity Dinner will be hosted by Sapphire Coast Turf Club and Club Sapphire Merimbula on Saturday 4th February 2017. The function is an integral part of the two-day 2017 Bega Cup Carnival to be run on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th February.

The dinner will be held at Club Sapphire Merimbula and will commence at 7pm (for 7:30pm sit down) and will conclude around 10:30pm. The evening will provide a quality 3-course meal with wine and beer/soft drinks and lots of good entertainment. There will be lucky door prizes, silent auctions, competitions (including the opportunity of winning a share in a racehorse) and a Calcutta on the Bega Cup.

The major beneficiary of the evening will be Community Carers Association South East (CCASE) to assist with the construction of carers’ accommodation at the South East Regional Hospital Bega. The first stage, which provides six double rooms with ensuite bathrooms, has commenced and further stages to increase capacity and facilities will commence after stage one is completed.

Tables can be sponsored for $1,000 which will be donated in full to CCASE. Sponsor may invite up to 10 guests to their table at a cost of $80 per head. This cost may be borne by the sponsors or invitees may pay all or part of this amount (entirely at the sponsor’s discretion).

Individual tickets can be purchased for $130 per head and any profit from the sale of tickets and the auctions held on the night will be allocated between CCASE (for the carers’ accommodation project) and Sapphire Coast Turf Club (to assist in the building of their new dining facilities).

Following is the dinner’s press release giving details of the dinner and the charities that are being supported on the night. For further information please email - gallopcare@bigpond.com
