ROSEHILL GARDENS – BEST BET: Race 5 # 7 – SUPERMASSIVE
He's a lightly raced improver, and he bolted in last start at Canterbury when doing it at both ends. The gelding showed early speed, led at a good-even tempo, and accelerated hard off the turn, clocking the meeting's fastest 400m-200m split before going through the line full of energy. He can step again off that performance, fits the Rosehill 1200m profile and has a tactical map advantage over his key rivals. Expect him to take some catching with Tim Clark sticking.
ROSEHILL GARDENS – NEXT BEST: Race 9 # 2 – BELLE DETELLE
The mare was running hidden closing sectionals in slowly run races in her first two runs this campaign before striking a fast run race last start after being heavily backed. Further, she had every chance, but she never shirked her task to the line, and her work past the post had merit. The Chris Waller-trained runner now has the platform to relish a more preferable trip stepping out to the 2000m, and the last time she was on a quick backup, she produced a career peak figure that rates to win this race. Expect her to settle in a forward position from the inside draw.

ROSEHILL GARDENS – VALUE BET: Race 4 # 6 – THE MONA LISA
She's gone to a new level this campaign and won with a bit of style two starts back at the same track/distance she faces on Sunday. The mare had too much to do last start at Canterbury after having the pace/bias against her, but to her credit, she hit the line hard. Expect her to bounce back onto a bigger track; she finds a very winnable race, and if she finds luck, she has the closing speed to put herself in the finish.
KENSINGTON – FRIDAY NIGHT PICK: Race 2 # 11 – WOOTTON WAY
Her debut run was huge against the pattern of the day, and she caught the eye after getting too far back in a slowly run race. The filly ran home the meetings' fastest closing splits, and her action suggested she has untapped ability. She draws awkwardly but is coming through a high-rating race, and the step out to 1300m will be ideal. Expect her to be savaging the line late and happy to mark her shorter than the current quote.
