Each horse in the Golden Eagle will be running for a charity partner, with the list of the 2025 charity partners set out below.
The Golden Eagle is Australia’s premier race for four-year-old thoroughbreds and has quickly stamped its place on the international racing calendar.
“We are delighted to partner with an outstanding group of charities in 2025 who will benefit directly from the success of The Golden Eagle,” said Racing NSW Chair Saranne Cooke.
“It’s also exciting to see how quickly this race has grown in terms of its international stature.
"It has become one of the pre-eminent form races in the world, with 8 individual Group 1 winners already coming out of the race last year, winning Group 1 races in Australia, Japan and Europe."
Last year’s winner of the Golden Eagle, Lake Forest, was partnered with the Ricky Stuart Foundation who received a donation of $525,000 towards their work providing support for those suffering from autism.
A further $475,000 was shared amongst the other charity partners last year, with all charities receiving a minimum donation of $5,000.
